It’s time to give residents a say on the Masons Field development

In our survey last year, 76% of you opposed plans to build 850 homes, plus a shopping precinct and school, on the Masons Field greenspace north of Farm Way, between Little Bushey Lane and Royal Connaught Park. The scheme - dubbed 'Compass Park' - would create a whole new miniature town in a previously unspoiled corner of Bushey.

And it looks like our Tory-led borough council in Borehamwood might push it through later this year without Bushey residents having any say.

As your Lib Dem campaigner, I'm now calling for a full public consultation on the scheme. It's not right for council bigwigs to make this crucial decision behind closed doors: the people of Bushey must be involved.
