In our survey last year, 76% opposed plans to build 850 homes, plus a shopping precinct and school, on the Masons Field greenspace north of Farm Way, between Little Bushey Lane and Royal Connaught Park. The scheme - dubbed 'Compass Park' by the developers - would create a whole new miniature town in a previously unspoiled corner of Bushey.
It looks like our Tory-led borough council in Borehamwood will push it through later this year without Bushey residents having any say.
We are calling for a full public consultation on the scheme. It's not right for council bigwigs to make this crucial decision behind closed doors: the people of Bushey must be involved.
Whether you've already signed up to the campaign or aren't ready just yet, you can still help encourage other people to sign up.
